MDG by 2015

Millennium Development Goals (MDG) – are the main goals of development that were formulated and approved during international conferences and World summits conducted in the 90th. MDGs are the new guidelines for countries’ development towards global perspective that were summarized and can be measured qualitatively.

In September 2000, during UN Millennium Summit, Ukraine, being one of the 189 countries-members of the UN, declared that by 2015 it will eradicate poverty without sacrificing quality and mandatority of primary education, combat infectious diseases (including AIDS), decrease level of maternal and child mortality, create favorable for humans ecological environment, and equality between men and women.

    Increase quality of education.
    Starting 2001, by 2015 reduce the level of maternal mortality by 17%.
    Starting 2001, by 2015 reduce the child mortality (up to 5 years old) by 17%.
  5. Starting 2001, by 2015 reduce HIV-infection/AIDS spread rate by 13%.
    Starting 2001, by 2015 reduce TB incidence rate by 42%.
