Youth Forum «Healthy Youth – Healthy Future» was held in Yalta
During October 5-8, 2008 in Yalta United Nations Population Fund has conducted Youth Forum «Healthy Youth — Healthy Future». The goal of the event was to present and discuss the achievements of student organizations in the sphere of safe behaviour advocacy among youth.
Prevention of HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), drug and psychoactive substances abuse as well as prevention of unwanted pregnancy among youth were the major topics of discussion. Participants also discussed examples of successful experience in the sphere of safe behaviour advocacy, challenges and ways of further development in the area of youth's health.
About 70 participants took part in the forum — students of Ukrainian higher educational institutions, members of UNFPA Youth Network, members of Youth Network "KRONA", winners of the UNFPA mini-grants contest.
Participants of the forum developed recommendations for further work with students and youth within the framework of UNFPA student organizations network as well as the work plan for 2009.
