On April 25-26, the Kyiv House of Cinema hosted an exhibition of EU-funded projects in Ukraine where UNFPA has presented the Programme "Support to establishing a comprehensive system of social services for young drug users". This exhibition was the last in the series of three informational events that took place this April. The other two exhibitions were held in Donetsk at the Donetsk National University on April 12-13 and in Lviv at the House of Scientists on April 19-20. The exhibitions were organized within the initiative supported by the Delegation of the European Commission to Ukraine and Belarus. These events were aimed at raising public awareness of EU-Ukraine relations and assistance programs for Ukrainian citizens.
The exhibitions informed university professors, students, government and NGO representatives, and general public about the EU activities in Ukraine and the results of the EU projects in various spheres of social and economic life, which are implemented in Ukraine. More than 30 national and regional projects participated in three exhibitions representing cooperation in the spheres of agriculture, support and development of renewable sources of energy, strengthening regional social services, strengthening civil society, struggle against HIV/AIDS in Ukraine, care for street children, development of integrated social services for vulnerable families and children at risk, and others.
