The Day of Europe in Ukraine
Within the framework of the day of Europe in Ukraine the UN Population Fund (UNFPA) and the Joint UN Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) have organized and conducted a small public awareness activity at Khreshatyk, aimed at providing knowledge to the citizens on HIV/AIDS and distribution of educational literature on this matter.
The actions conducted by UNFPA and UNAIDS has been perceived positively by the Kiev citizens, and especially by the youth, who visited the holiday of the day of Europe in Ukraine. People displayed the high level of interest in HIV/AIDS problems.
With the framework of the action more than 6000 information materials on HIV/AIDS and problems related to drug use, produced by UNFPA were distributed.
Workshop for the student organizations' representatives on safe behaviour promotion among students was held in Odessa 2-5 July 2007
