Participation of Dr. Borys Vornyk in the Press-conference devoted to the upcoming Charitable Gala-Concert “SOStradanie” (Compassion) to support people living with HIV/AIDS
The following honored guests participated in the Press-conference:
- Ms. Lilia Podkopayeva — Absolute Olympic Champion, UN Goodwill Ambassador on HIV/AIDS in Ukraine;
- Dr. Borys Vornyk — Assistant Representative, UNFPA Ukraine;
- Mr. Anatoliy Zalevsky — Art Director of "Rizoma" theater;
- Mr. Eduard Clim — Music producer, General Director of music holding company "Lavina";
- Mr. Oleksiy Savchenko — Head of the Board of Directors of "Partner Bank".
Mr. Volodymyr Zhovtyak — Head of the All-Ukrainian Network of PLWHA.
The Charitable Gala-Concert "SOStradanie" (Compassion) will take place on 1 December 2007 in the National Art Center "Ukraine". Famous Ukrainian singers and bands will perform during the Concert: Tina Karol, Ani Lorak, Oleksandr Ponomarev, Vitaliy Kozlovsky, EL Kravchuk, Victor Pavlik, Gaitana, Oksamyta, Katya Chili, S.K.A.I. and others.
The goal of the Concert - to rise public, as well as government attention to the issue of HIV/AIDS epidemic in Ukraine, to promote tolerant attitude towards people living with HIV/AIDS, and to remind everyone that HIV/AIDS concerns everyone and that its ignorance can lead to death of tens of thousands of people in Ukraine.
