
On the 25th of September 2008 a round table was held in Lugansk under UKR1G41A project "Male Involvement in Gender-Based Violence Prevention".
The main purpose of the event was to present stocktake report "Analytical Review of Current Researches On Gender-Based Violence in Ukraine", done by Regional Human Rights Socio-Educational Centre "Women of Donbas". The report was presented by Head of NGO "Women of Donbas" Ms. Liliya Koveshnikova and Assistant of the Minister of Internal Affairs Mr. Valeriy Arkhipov.
During the meeting representatives from Division for Public Order of Department of Ministry of Internal Affairs in Lugansk Region, Lugansk Regional Women's Centre, municipal and regional Centres for Social Services for Family Children and Youth, Department for Family Youth and Sport of Lugansk Regional State Administration, scientist and students from Lugansk National University named after Taras Shevchenko participated in discussion on problems of male involvement in gender-based violence prevention.

In the course of round table representatives from regional NGOs, winners of UNFPA mini-grants contest for support of projects on male involvement in gender-based violence in Ukraine, also had the floor. They presented their projects, which are implemented in Lutsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Lugansk, Izmayil and Kamyanets-Podilskyy.
