Press-release on workshop in Odessa (15-17 may)
From 15 to 17 of May in Odessa UNFPA Country Office in Ukraine together with the NGO Regional Human Rights Socio-Educational Centre "Women of Donbass" held a seminar for representatives of NGOs on development of projects for male involvement in gender-based violence prevention.
In terms of the Programme “Support to establishing a comprehensive system of social services for young drug users” training seminar “Behaviour change communication techniques for adolescent and youth” was conducted on 21-23 April in Kharkiv.
The Division for Oversight Services performed an oversight mission to the UNFPA office in Ukraine from February 13 to 27, 2007. The oversight team comprised: Mr. Paul Lucas and Mr. Edmund Grove. The audit assessment covered the period from January 2006 to December 2007.
Dr. Borys Vornyk, UNFPA Assistant Representative in Ukraine, along with Dr. Oleg Voronenko, UNFPA National Professional Officer and other staff members participated in a number of World AIDS Day events, dedicated to the Commemoration of the 20 years of the HIV epidemic in Ukraine.
