Round table under the UNFPA Gender Component
The UNFPA Country Programme Gender Component has organized a round table aimed at presentation of the results of two researches, made under Gender Annual Work Plan – 2006: Analytical report on male involvement in programmes on SRH, safe behavior formation, reproductive rights protection, gender equality promotion, and combating gender-based violence and the Analysis of existing NGOs, working in the field of gender in Ukraine on 7 December 2006 in the Hotel “Dzherelo”.
In accordance with AWP UKR1P201, UNFPA Ukraine has organized three days seminar for the leaders of older volunteers’ movement, social and medical workers who deal with ageing issues in Zhitomir region - “Training volunteers for the work with older persons”.
On November 21, 2006 new web site narkostop.info was launched.
The traditional Information Fair of UN agencies publications took place in the Ukrainian Parliament.
Under the Programme Component, transparent grant contest for local women’s and gender-oriented NGOs was organized. The competing participants have developed and submitted to the Programme Component management project proposals on advocacy activities to promote gender equity and equality, SRH and RR focused on the decision-makers.
Representatives of partner governmental and non-governmental organizations participated in the working meeting, organized jointly by The Ministry of Ukraine for families, youth and sports on 11 October.
