Summary

This project has been developed in accordance with the United Nations Development Assistance Framework (UNDAF) for 2006-2010.

The stem idea is to continue development of RH/FP services for HIV-positive women and adolescent girls which started in 2005 as a pilot initiative and continued in several interventions in 2006-2007 during the implementation of the CP sub-component. It is planned to create and improve information, consultative, social and medical services in the integrated services facilities (ISFs) such as AIDS centers, Family Planning centers, women's consultations, maternity houses and other medical facilities providing services for people living with HIV.

This project continues the implementation of the RH component of the UNFPA Country Programme for Ukraine for 2006-2010.

UNDAF outcome

By 2010, increased access to and use of quality treatment and medical services by mothers and children, people affected by HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis, youth and vulnerable populations that ensures their right to quality health services.
